“Every church has blind spots: things we avoid, excuse, or simply fail to see. Left unaddressed, they keep us anxious, isolated, guarded, and afraid of the very people God has called us to love.

Dear Church is not a five-week scolding. It is a loving and honest conversation about the people we are becoming together.

We will talk about allowing prayer to form us, making worship and gathering a meaningful rhythm, creating room for honest relationships and healing, rediscovering the joy of generosity, and moving beyond our fear of people who are not like us.

I will not be pointing a finger from a distance. I am standing among you, listening for what the Spirit is saying to all of us.

This is an invitation to see what we have missed, lay down what is holding us back, and become the Church God created us to be.”
