Before there was a promised land, there was a people who felt trapped.

Exodus is one of the most dramatic stories ever told: burning bushes, plagues, miracles, and a sea split in two. But beneath the spectacle is a story that feels surprisingly familiar. It’s the story of ordinary people who find themselves stuck—stuck in fear, stuck in uncertainty, stuck in circumstances they cannot change—and discover a God who hears, remembers, and acts.

For ancient Israel, Exodus became the defining story of their identity. Generations later, when God’s people found themselves in exile, far from home and wondering if God had abandoned them, they returned to this story and remembered who God is. He is the God who sees the oppressed, calls unlikely people, makes a way where there seems to be no way, and remains faithful even when His people struggle to trust Him.

In this seven-week journey through Exodus, we’ll explore what it means to hear God’s call, step out in faith, confront our fears, trust God in the unknown, and meet Him in life’s wilderness seasons. Exodus is not just a story about leaving Egypt. It’s a story about learning to follow God when the future is unclear.

Because the same God who led His people through the sea is still leading people today.
