our journey
The year is 2015. Albemarle First
Assembly
has received national acclaim as one of America's outstanding churches.
Albemarle First's innovative approach to non-profit leadership has secured
financial capital from various community sources including other churches
as it partners with the community in preserving the heritage of Stanly
County and the surrounding region. The church, located on a major four
lane artery of transportation, manages a campus in excess of 80 acres
while actively engaging its membership in a cutting edge vision that encourages
an entrepreneurial approach to community redevelopment.
This church not only provides a sanctuary known for its
vibrant multi-media worship style, but also academic opportunities for
children, housing and elder care, as well as leadership training and the
equipping of pastors and laity for an expansive array of outreach ministries.
Its full dimension strategic alliance with Southland Leadership Center
in Selma, North Carolina and on-line networking with Southeastern College
of Lakeland Florida, as well as the local partnership with Stanly County
Community College provides "virtual college" opportunities for
adult continuing education on site.
Its professional counseling center assures regional access
to state of the art Christian care for families experiencing difficulty
from parenting to financial management.
The youth of Albemarle First are known for their passionate
pursuit and quality evangelism outreaches within urban areas of this region.
The facilities constructed specifically for the needs of youth and families
send a clarion message of mission toward the next generation. At-risk
families suffering economic set-back can find a full menu of assistance
for personal necessities as the church resource center collaborates with
existing service agencies for a less bureaucratic, community based approach
to service delivery.
Political leadership has welcomed the wisdom of
mighty men of God known for the years of consistent prayer over their
city as well as the congregations of other churches represented within
this inclusive band of prayer warriors. Led by a pastor seasoned by the
veteran experiences of service to his country, these men are unyielding
in their concern for leaving a legacy for the generations to come.
